WE NEED YOUR HELP!

🌱 We are closer than ever to turning Merry Moos Farm from a dream into a reality

🌱 Project Update

We have now identified a suitable farm on the Somerset / Devon border, approximately 20 minutes from Taunton.

The project is focused on creating a wellbeing farm environment supporting individuals through nature, routine and meaningful activity.

The next step is raising the funding needed to secure the site and bring the project into operation. Updates will be shared as things progress.

Our vision is to take a slice of Somerset, and turn it into a fully functioning, working care farm.

We want to provide a safe and inclusive space to the people of Somerset. A place where they can experience the calm of nature and the benefit of hands-on farm work to improve mental health and battle social isolation.

We will be welcoming onto our farm people who…

  • are 50 or over

  • People with Learning disabilities

  • have physical disabilities

  • are ex-services personnel

  • The farming community

Once we have boots on the ground, people who join the Merry Moos Community will spend their day on the farm doing their choice of farming activities.

Whether this is planting and harvesting in the polytunnels, caring for the animals, or packaging the produce. On the farm, there is something for people of all abilities, making sure everyone feels their contribution is valued and they leave feeling proud of their daily achievements.

What we will do on the farm
